Aquila Nuclear Engineering has been welcomed as a Tier 2 Member of The University of Strathclyde’s Advanced Nuclear Research Centre (ANRC).
The University of Strathclyde has a track record of supporting the UK and International nuclear industry for more than 60 years. Through the ANRC it supports the safe and efficient operation of nuclear facilities through process, risk and technical innovations. It also supports the design, safe and efficient operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities through process, risk and technical innovations.

The Advanced Nuclear Research Centre Welcomes Three New Members
The University of Strathclyde’s Advanced Nuclear Research Centre (ANRC) has welcomed three new Tier 2 members, Aquila Nuclear Engineering Ltd, BAM Nuttall and Ionix Advanced Technologies.
The University of Strathclyde has a track record of supporting the UK and International nuclear industry for more than 60 years. Through the ANRC it supports the safe and efficient operation of nuclear facilities through process, risk and technical innovations. It also supports the design, safe and efficient operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities through process, risk and technical innovations.
Formed in 2015, the ANRC has grown into a vibrant research centre with strong industry support and collaboration with many academics from both Strathclyde and the wider academic community. The research portfolio of the Centre is continually developing and includes expertise in plant lifetime extension, asset management, decommissioning, waste disposal, data analytics, non-destructive testing, material sciences and structural integrity.
Nick King, ANRC Technical Project Director said: “We are delighted to welcome our three new Tier 2 members to the growing ANRC membership, who bring relevant, complementary capabilities and technical expertise to the research centre and we look forward to working closely with them on a number of exciting projects for our members.”

The University of Strathclyde’s Advanced Nuclear Research Centre (ANRC) has welcomed a new Tier 2 member, BAM Nuttall. BAM Nuttall is one of the UK’s leading civil engineering contractors, with a reputation for combining innovative technology and skilled people to deliver sustainable infrastructure that benefits society. As strong advocates of collaborative working BAM Nuttall have engaged with the ANRC in the joint industry/EPSRC funded Prosperity Partnership and enjoy a close working relationship with the University of Strathclyde and other Tier 1 and Tier members of the ANRC.
